Advance Preview: The Purge – The Giving Time Is Here

WARNING: THIS PREVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE PREVIOUS EPISODES.

Last week the masked man rescued Jane and she got her revenge on David (finally). Rick, Jenna, and Lila faced a disgruntled neighbor apparently pissed about them… parking in front of his house sometimes? The three of them are able to kill him and we last see them sitting together on a couch. Awkward silence ensues. Miguel and Penelope were finally reunited and then left stranded as they attempt to seek sanctuary for the rest of the night after escaping from the Carnival.

Well we’re barreling along into the final stretch of the season and tonight’s episode has no shortages of shocks and surprises.

Advance Preview: Into the Dark – 1×01

Into the Dark is the latest entry into the growing trend of anthologies series. It’s a horror series coming from the fiendish mind of Jason Blum whose production company, Blumhouse, has produced several of the last decades most popular horror films such as Get OutHappy Death Day,The PurgeInsidiousParanormal Activity, and the much-anticipated, upcoming sequel Halloween. And those titles merely scratch the surface. Blumhouse has been a top name in horror for some time now and it doesn’t look like they’re going anywhere any time soon. Blumhouse Productions has also produced several television series like the short-lived but popular Eye Candy for MTV, the recent Sharp Objects, Indian-import and Netflix Original – GhoulThe Purge limited series, and now this one.

Review: New Amsterdam – 1×02

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Last week we were introduced to the hectic world of New Amsterdam and its ever changing policies ushered forth into the new era by the latest medical director, Max Goodwin. We were casually introduced to all the main players of the series and we left off with some big revelations.

This week, Max is on a mission to stick to his mandate of making New Amsterdam a better place. Iggy is dealing with a tricky case involving a child drowning in pharmaceuticals. Floyd’s pride is tested and Helen struggles with the emotional swells of being a doctor.

Review: Happy Together – Pilot

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The 2018 Fall TV season is officially underway and two more new CBS sitcoms hit the airwaves tonight. Happy Together being the latter of the two.

A new sitcom is almost a rarity on a network stuffed with reboots and revivals, and while maybe not wholly original in the sense that we’ve certainly seen this premise before, I found it a lively debut and a breath of fresh air as far as CBS sitcoms go.

Advance Preview: New Amsterdam – 1×02

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

In the season premiere of New Amsterdam we were introduced to the main characters of the series, with Doctor Max Goodwin being one of the latest entries to the hospital as the latest medical director. Max wasted no time in implementing new policies and creating some substantial shake-ups: including firing the entire cardiac team – except Doctor Floyd Pearson who will now be tasked with rebuilding cardio from the ground up and making it better.

Advance Preview: The Gifted – 2×02

Last week on The Gifted: Reeva took control of the Inner Circle. Caitlin tracked down a mutant criminal hacker in order to find her son and wound up getting grazed by a bullet. The Strucker family grappled with their grief over Andy’s departure. The Mutant Underground rescued a young mutant named Christina from a Sentinel raid but was unable to get to her family in time, they’re still on the look out for her sister, Jasmine. Polaris gave birth to her baby girl, Dawn.
